About my watercolors.
I enjoy painting local scenes or places that I am familiar with. I usually photograph the view, paint at home, and then revisit the site a few times to keep it fresh in my mind. I also love painting flowers. I often use “negative painting” which brings out layers of shapes by painting around the objects in this case petals, stems, and leaves.
